Cobalt Recruitment is working on behalf of an established and proactive firm of Chartered Accountants based in Central London who offer a wide range of services including: Audit and accountancy, Corporate taxation, Personal taxation, Trusts and Business consultancy.
Due to slight re-structure, they're now looking for a strong Property Accountant to join the Property division.
The Role:
    Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns for a portfolio of clients, most of which are Property Investment or Property Development companies
    Preparation of quarterly management accounts for some of the portfolio companies
    Preparation and filing of monthly CIS returns for a portfolio of Property companies
    Assisting in the preparation of annual accounts for the above portfolio
    Monthly bookkeeping on all portfolio companies. On most we are provided with statements of rental income and expenditure by the managing agent, and bank statements and input this into SageLine 50.
    Bookkeeping work includes reconciliation of various accounts within the records i.e. bank accounts, Managing Agents accounts, VAT account and Service Charge accounts
    Assisting from time to time in clearing ad-hoc queries regarding the accounts and VAT related matters
    Preparing occasional cashflow forecasts and budgets (but this is relatively infrequent)
The firm is committed to the highest quality of service and knowledge. Candidates must be numerate, diligent, and ambitious. Strong interpersonal and team working skills are also essential.
