We are currently recruiting for an Internship Manager based in Birmingham, UK who will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the internship programme. The post holder will be expected to provide leadership and offer expertise and skills in recruiting graduates, inducting then and their career development. The person must have proven experience and ability in managing internship programmes. The post holder will contribute significantly to the management of entire programme, liaise with various divisions and field offices of Islamic Relief worldwide and will be responsible for the financial management and delivery of the project.
The Internship Manager will take a lead on the policy and process of Graduate Internships Programme and its implementation. You will monitor and measure effectiveness of Graduate Internship programmes. The Internship Manager will represent the Academy in conferences, other meetings and IR Partners. As the Internship Manager you will develop campus and marketing strategy, carry out research and make recommendations to inform next terms campus.
The successful applicant will need to have extensive experience in graduate resourcing, acquisition and development preferably in the aid sector. The candidate would be confident in delivering presentations and representing IR Academy to students and graduates on campus including running workshops and inductions. You will be able to assess market intelligence, be able to work in a team comfortably and adapt to different styles of communication. The candidate will have excellent computer skills and will be able to use different computer programs.
Excellent communication skills in English is essential, knowing a second language (Arabic, French or German) is desirable.
