Summary of Department
The Finance Team consists of two functions, Financial Operations and Group Accountants. The Financial Operation function, where this role sits, is responsible for the day-to-day processing of purchase and revenue invoices, credit control, salaries and pensions, bank transactions, corporate Barclaycard, staff expenses and timesheets, and petty cash.
Summary of Role
The post holder will generate financial reports, take full ownership of the timesheet system and fixed asset register and generate central costings. They will also provide significant support to the Group Accountants and cover for the wider Finance Operations Team.
To succeed in this role you must have experience in an Accounts/Finance Team, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to work to deadlines. You will be able to identify, communicate and implement improvements and communicate financial information to non-finance staff. Your experience will include the use of computerised accounting packages, the preparation of reports and reconciliations experience across several ledger types
