Base location: Full time – London, Part-time – BirminghamAn excellent opportunity has arisen in Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) for two experienced and talented individuals to join the programme department as Global Programmes Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the post holders will co-ordinate and manage IRUK’s international programme portfolio. This will involve working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, implementation and monitoring of IRUK funded programmes. The successful candidates will also play a key role in developing and implementing departmental strategic objectives.
The Successful Candidate:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of international development and humanitarian work
- Experience of working within an INGO
- Experience of humanitarian emergencies and the role fundraising plays
- Excellent communication skills with experience in liaising with multiple stakeholders
- Effective budgetary control and grant management
- Strong and well developed analytical and research skills
- Good interpersonal and team work
- Willingness to travel at very short notice
